Weekend Get Away

This weekend we took a trip up to the high desert. It was a lot of fun. I stayed awake the whole way up and I was good until the last 20 minutes. Then I let my parents know I had enough. Once we got there it was great. I was so excited to see my cousin Elisha and I just wanted to keep giving him hugs. I also got to spend some time with Mira who I believe is my 3rd cousin.

It got pretty hot up there. So I decided to take a dip in my grandparents pool. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed floating around.

I AM WALKING!!!!

Over the past month and a half I have become more and more brave and started taking more steps. At first it was maybe one or two. Then I moved up to walking from different pieces of furniture, walking across the room, but now I can walk anywhere. I love my new found freedom. I have to admit, when I want to get somewhere really fast, I get down and crawl, but not for long.

ELMO

Today was my friend Keenan's first birthday party (We go way back) and guess who showed up. ELMO!! I don't really know who Elmo is, but my friend Keenan loves him, though you wouldn't know it from the picture. I didn't really care for sitting on Elmo's lap, but later when I got to stand next to him I really liked touching his eyes and nose. That was the biggest set of eyes and nose I'd ever seen.

I had a great 4th of July. Our friends Tommy and Trish came over and brought this great cake. Sorry to say I only heard that it was delicious. Unfortunately I was asleep during the fireworks, maybe next year!
