Easter

Easter morning we woke up early and went to church and then had brunch at Nate's Garden Grill.

The Hunt

For the past several years we do an Easter Egg Hunt at our neighbors the Smiths.  It is a sweet tradition that the kids look forward to every year:)

Great Grandma Sabina

This past week the kids and I went up to my parents house to say good-bye to my grandma the kids great grandma.  She is moving up to Northern California to live with my aunt and uncle.  It was nice to spend time with her and help her pack up.  She will be missed, but we hope to visit her soon.

Toy Story

Rylen asked me to bring in the tub of Toy Story toys that were in a tub in the garage.  They are Avery's new favorite toys.  She especially loves Woody.  She wants to bring him wherever she goes and loves to give him piggy back rides.  Her new favorite movie is Toy Story 3.

Legoland

The kids had a whole school field trip to Legoland.  Which essentially ends up being our annual trip to Legoland.  It is fun for the kids, because they are constantly  running into friends all over the park. Avery had a blast, since last time she was still really little.

The Playhouse

I have finally cleaned out the playhouse so that it is a usable kid space.  There is still more I would like to do, but Avery loves it down there.  She asks me everyday if she can play in the playhouse.

Rylen got the dress up drawer out for Avery today and had a great time getting her outfitted.  I forgot super hero, because she does have a cape on too, you just can't see it.

Baseball in the Heat

So while we have had some cooler weather and rain periodically this week we have had some unusually hot weather.  For Gabriel's game on Saturday it was in the mid 90's.  He had his first opportunity to pitch this season and he did pretty well.

At the baseball game on Friday evening Squirmy (Zander) shared a slushy.  It was hard for Squirm to share, but he couldn't resist Avery:)

Dinner with Friends

So we decided to get a bite to eat for dinner and ran into our neighbors/friends.  It was a great impromptu dinner date.  The kids had a blast and really enjoyed each others company.

Baseball

Gabriel had his first game on Saturday. His team is called the Blue Bolts.  They won their game 7-5.  Then on Sunday they had Cap day which was rescheduled, because of rain last weekend.

Lunch

On Friday we went to Social Life Pizza for lunch.  Gabriel really enjoyed his wings you can especially tell, because of all the sauce on his face.  Well Avery she just likes to be super cool and wear her sunglasses indoors.

The Big Bad Wolf

Avery decided that she wanted to dress up in Rylen's wolf costume today.  She had so much fun looking at herself in the mirror and howling:)

Zoo Trip with Avery

Avery and I went to the zoo just the 2 of us this past week.  Unlike Gabriel and Rylen she hasn't been as often as they had at this age.  So needless to say she loved it!!! She walked most of the time and her favorite animals were the monkeys.

Pacific Southwest Railway Museum

Yesterday we went to the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum.  We got to ride on a train car from the 1930's.  Then got to explore some train engines and cars that the museum has on display.  It was a stormy day, but didn't rain so we got to enjoy some beautiful weather and amazing sky.
