Today I went to Sea World with my good friend Jacob. We had a lot of fun parallel playing with the other babies and making each other laugh while riding in our strollers.
This past weekend we went up to my grandparents' house for my grandma's 50th birthday. It was a lot of fun. I got a lot of attention and everyone was so impressed with my new trick of standing on my own. I even took my first step to my grandpa. My mom was a little upset because she missed it, but my dad saw it. My mom has been trying to get me to do it again, but I rather just lean forward or go down on my knees and crawl. Here I am with my cousin Elisha and my Grandma. Oh, and one more thing as you can see in the picture I am patting my cousins head which he thought was funny. But right after this picture was taken I grabbed a chunk of his hair and wouldn't let go which he didn't like very much.
Mother's Day morning I woke mommy up bearing gifts. I brought her a rose, some chocolates and a really cute card. I was also wearing a romper that said Mommy's little boy (which my dad helped me put on). She was so happy and surprised. Later I took my mom and Grandma Sue out to breakfast. I was especially good even though we had to wait for a while. Overall I think the day was a success.
Today I went to see my friend Gage who was staying at the beach. It was supposed to be a cold and cloudy day, but it ended up being beautiful. My friend Gage was nice enough to lend me a swim diaper so that I could go down to the water. I wasn't too crazy about the wet sand, but I loved playing in the dry sand with Gage's sand toys. We had a great time. Though you can't tell from the picture, I am covered in sand. I did do better about not rubbing my eyes right away. And I have to tell you sand kind of tastes good contrary to what my mom tells me.

Yesterday was my 11 month birthday. I only have one more month of babyhood left and then onto toddlerhood. My mom has mixed feelings about this. She is happy to see me growing into an independent little boy, but she is also sad that I will no longer be a baby. This was my first time crawling on beach sand and I really enjoyed it. Once I had sand all over my hands I decided to rub my eye and my mom just about died. I thought it was funny, but my mom says I wouldn't be laughing if it had gotten in my eye.
